I realised the other day I didn't have any Elton Johns tracks, so downloaded his greatest hits, I find his music quite relaxing, well a lot of the tracks. Great songwriter, legend even.
I've been listening to PF a bit
I love Van Morrison, I just don't get fed up with his music, that man has one huge soul.
I listen to quite a bit of my own material, it's amazing how many songs I've created over the last three years, prior to that I'd only created about 5 songs would you believe, bandAMP gave me the motivation, yeah having loads of fun.

Where do ya know this band , boy ???
Ya bring some memories back to me .I´ve seen the ´giants`live in Düsseldorf around 1976/77 .
Wasn´t a very famous band at this time . Too experimantally , too much avantgarde style , too sophisticated .
But sooooo geniusly. I also had some LPs (vinyl) of them AND : hairs on my head..................sigh.......
Tnx for bringing back my youth for a small moment , it´s a long time ago I listened to "gentle giant"

A propos : do ya know "Brand X" ? A british fusion band with Phil Collins on drums after he has quit
"Genesis" and before he restarted with "Genesis" in the 80´s .With this band he showed what genius drummer he is ( was).
Percy Jones on bass had a very large influence for my way to play bass.If ya listen to my music ya´ll hear maybe.
Here some examples :

Wow, that's pretty awesome!  I wouldn't have known he was playing with just one hand if there was no video.  Poor guy, but I'm happy for him that he was able to figure out how to play like that!

I'm really into prog, so I think I probably read about them on a forum or something.  I love how tight it is!!!

I've heard about brand x, but I never had a chance to listen to any by them.  Based on those clips, I've gotta buy an album of this stuff!

It's all awesome music!

Yea...I suppose the difference is like playing Monopoly around the table or GTA on a playstation...
I've just had the kids jumping round the room to that track, while I dont think they'd do that to PF....

Dont get me wrong Pink Floyd are amazing along with The Stones, Beatles, Zeppelin....their still old fogies ! lol

I was a big fan when they put out their first album in like 2004 so when I heard they put out a new album this year I was pretty psyched! Definitely a great album worth the wait…if you don’t know them I’d recommend listening to As Long As I’m With You, Miss Kennedy and Hey Girl

Really experimental rock with a little pop flair...Eartha is a Grammy winner who put out 2 soul albums over 7 years ago and then came out fresh with this crazy rock album

might need to listen once or twice to get into it - try this download on AOL

Music I listen to. :)
I'm listening to alot of music. Mostly it is In Flames, Lamb of God, Job for a Cowboy, KoRn and Mudvayne, so mostly death metal / thrash metal. But I love Skrillex too and alot of the Overclocked remixes of Nintendo games and other console games.

Rush - Exit... Stage Left

Fantastic live album other than the fact they put fadeouts and fadeins in between pretty much every track, it loses the live feel because of that!

Awesome! I listened to a few tracks and that is definitely my style of music! And yes, SimCity does have good music! However, I don't think SimCity is an indie game, it's made by EA (and I dislike EA for their poor game testing and customer support, but you could say that about a lot of big companies).

Thanks for sharing the news about World of Goo!

Been listening to these guys, when I say 'listening to' I seriously mean listen to, I've had the CD in the car for the past 2 months ... it plays automatically when I start the car.

These guys have just SO much soul .... as they say in one song  "ma'na rwbath yn fy mhen i yn achosi fi i wenu"
Which basically means "There's something in my head causing me to smile"

You might not get the words directly ... but you'll get the soul if you listen ....

This one is particularly excellent entertainment :

Do check out a few more on the channel ..... the next one is excellent .... O! and the one before this one .....

What have I been listening to these past few months?

Well, a while ago I went to the Beaches Jazz Festival in Toronto.  There was a ton of great music there, but there was this one band that I knew the guitarist in, called KC Roberts and the Live Revolution.  I mixed their show on Friday Night.  It was a blast.

If you need some funk/jazz, check these guys out.  They are total powerhouses!!!

Don't worry, their original stuff is great too!!!
Check this out (you can see me at the mixing console during this lol - i left to check levels):
