Blue Smoker
I had a vision of a sophisticated lady in a posh Jazz club smoking a cigarette on one of those long holders you used to see back when, with blue light filling the club.

In loving memory of Godfrey Madura, a talented sax player I knew for many years. I played the main riff to him, could be over 6 years ago and he liked it, he was a hard man to please, so I was shocked him giving me the thumbs up, don't know why it's taken all these years to actually make a recording of it. I'm so glad that I did

Are the saxes sampled?  Sounds great if so.  You are such a great lead I don't even know how to explain good you are!

So chill.  Dont go around smoking though -->

does the synth patch have a sax "squeak" sound built-in?

young people today ...what can you say tee hee.

Sweeeeeet absolutely love the mix &  the guitar is so on the money too , ezy drummer again?? if so am gonna have to get me one of those  & the old JV in there on those brass lines.
The soprano is nice and dry and live which enhances the intimacy
I use the same for brass songs the blend with a real instrument e.g sax particularly works well.
Would dig to try a colab with you and swordie bones and me tenor /alto ...you know cool swing with some breaks...following this though .. hard act to follow.
Excellent work hatz off again .

Yeah Good old Ez Drummer, I used presets from Groove monkee, the main riff I edited, the solos I just used presets and finally used the standard vintage compressor in FL 8, The sax was recorded through a Ribbon mic, great to create a vintage sound and used Delay with early reflection to give it more depth, and a very little stage reverb.
Collab sounds interesting, perhaps do a standard??
Funny I just spoke with swordy on the phone

Delicious , denis !
This git play is pretty creamy. No matter if chords or single notes  Brass section fills on the right spots.
Cool drums , cool bass lines and your expressive sax make this little jazz number complete.
Your vision/picture above fits well to the song .Dis isa  "good olĀ“denis-song" , yo!
