Broken Flowers (Reprise)
Hey ya'll,
Another song from my band "BLANK NOIZE", (www.myspace.com/blanknoizemusic) (www.unsigned.com/blanknoize)

This one's called "Broken Flowers". I did the music and our front guy has done the vocals. Check it out, comments are appreciated.

Lyrics are as follows,

When your loneliness is taking over,
When your arms and knees are broken down,
Take your life and make it something new,
When all you can see is passing hours.

This pain will make you stronger now,
Hold on again,
Tears and Broken Flowers,
Don't make it the end.

Tears, and, Broken Flowers.. X2

You don't recognize this empty hallway,
Its the place that you once called your own,
So fuckin' sure that we would make it someday,
Life just passed you by and took a soul.

This pain will make you stronger now,
Hold on again,
Tears and Broken Flowers,
Don't make it the end.

Don't make it the end. (X2)

Tears, and, Broken Flowers.. (X8)

'Tears and broken flowers' is a lovely line.

The vox are superb.

Quite like the music as it is, just feel it should pick up in rhythm as the song goes with some light drums and perhaps some ohh's and ahh's

One for the Battle I'd say.

Yeah i agree with Denis about the need to accentuate the rythm.  If not drums maybe staccato strings?

Piano and subtle guitar in the verse is really nicely balanced.  Im lovin it.  Lyrics are nicely written as well (also enjoyin the tears and broken flowers line!!!).  Production wise it sounds really tight too.  Dont have much more to add really.  Great tune.

Very nice song    Yes, maybe there could be more accentuation on the rythm. Anyway, it depends on where the song is to be listened to and how. A film with a love story and a message ending with this song as a character or a car goes away would be just a perfect combination. Lyrics are great. Good work. Rated!

bad: Your singer is way too good for the way you volume mixed him in. He should be at least 5db louder. You need a drummer or some way to accentuate rhythm.

good: Well written, well sung, nice flow, I love the way the guitar is done. Beautiful, almost perfect recording. Great mix on everything but the singing volume.

If this had a little drumming I would give this an A/A+...right now its hovering around A/A-

I think the mix is good on this one... don't agree with Zach, as I think the vox cuts through well (certainly on my system).  However, I would like to hear some very subtle drums in there - other than that, the instrumental blending, including the choice of background instruments, is spot on.
A haunting piece that works very well to my ears.
