I was working on it Spoon but My mom and daughter are in town that week and I belive they leave on the 18th I only get to see them both once or twice a year for a week or so.So Im guessing that most likely Im not making it.

it's official now that I can't come.
the funds are there, and I managed to save up enough free time for the trip,
and the will is there (albeit marginally), would go for it for the adventure alone,
but... 2 of my coworkers have holidays planned in august and because of the nature thereof, they can't reschedule and/or as easily as I can say: better luck next time. There was a time I was really looking forward to this event, but I'm gonna have to let it go...

I'm not sure.......... Toastedgoat has been asked to do a benefit concert at Union Station, for the "Race For The Cure" cancer run. approx. 100,000 ( edit: that's 18,000 participants it was 10,000 not 100,000, oops, but now it is 18,000 )people in attendance estitmated . Our manager is getting the details to this event (I think he's talking to the lady in charge today to get the details). I'll know more this weekend ... but It looks like we're going to do it, which would keep me from attending the, N.A.B.A.P. 2007 Canadian Jam.....lol. I would really like to go ...I would love it even more if ToastedGoat could attend, but I don't see that happening in August..maybe next year.
Fish.... despite the failed terrorist action (and by the way, we've just been stood down from a "critical" state of alert), and the potential threat to airlines, I'm still damned envious of you going over to the party!!!
I will have to content myself with a 120 mile trip to Sussex at the end of August instead.

LOL - I don't even have internet at my house! But I don't see why someone can't bring a video camera and we can share the file with everyone. The only way to have a live stream would be if someone brought their computer that had a wireless connection...but then they would have to try and find the local hot spot...I'm not sure if there is one close enough anyways....hmmm....there's always the possibility that I might have internet by that time, but I just moved in, so I haven't gotten around to it yet

We are home now.... We had a wonderful time... I actually got to jam with Bandamp members in PERSON.. that is the coolest thing in the world... Much thanks to Spoon for bringing us into her home, and Richard for all his help.. Had alot of fun playing blues with Colin, and watching Taka was just incredible... What a talent... You are a blessing to the world my friend.. Watching Spoon and Siren do some of their songs live was very cool... And Swordfish, all the way from the UK!! How cool is that?!?!?! He led us in a Bandamp Jam that was so much fun...
I was honored to be a part of this wonderful event... And then, Even though Flyer couldn't make it, we brought a part of it down to him... And that was wonderful... We had a council of bandampers at the party. We first voted unanimously to hold next year's party at Toasted Goat's house (that's what you get for backing out!). But upon further consideration...we decided that Kansas has entirely too much corn ( "we want you too Malachi" - Children of the Corn
)...and then voted to have it at Alerion's place in New England (since he too bailed on attendance!).
The theory is..if you plan early - then you're likely to have more commit to attending. I started talking about this one last August....so....start thinking about coming next year...you don't want to miss out on a fun time like this

good new s is i might be able to attend the next one granted nothing comes up, its on a good enouph date that wont make my parents vomit at the thought, and its close eneough (close enough meaning not outside the united states unfortinitly i have no pass port and am to young to leave the states unacompanied by an adult and or legal gardian, to wich my parents refuse to consint.)

Taka has some recordings he is going to edit and post I believe. We have some audio/video on the facebook group page...you just have to join facebook, then ask to join the group....I think the link is up above somewhere already...
Well...in order to start planning the next one, someone has to step up to the plate and volunteer to host it. Any takers??
There's not really much cost involved...we had a bbq so I bought hamburgers and hotdogs...and I invited a bunch of local friends who brought some salad's and nibbles. It's handy if you have a big yard for camping and jamming. Also a nice touch...is if you live in an area with some decent attractions - I think everyone who came enjoyed seeing Niagara Falls and some of the area Niagara area. You might be required to pick up some people from the airport...but if you have one nearby it's no big deal. If anyone wants more details about what's involved, feel free to PM me.

Decided to stop smoking and put the money in a jar ..... That's eleven bucks a day!!!!
I'm still not home yet!!!!.....Don't get back to the homestead till next week.....Will be able to upload my pics on Wednesday next at the earliest.......... I also took some movie footage of the journey.

It's in Nevada, the Black Rock Desert. From there, if people are traveling from across the globe, I would suggest going to Yellowstone (volcanic activity galore), and the Grand Tetons (vast beautiful mountain scape). It's not a long drive!
